Aisling Bea
Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian that has been in the business for quite a while. Born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March, 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. After appearing in bit parts in several Irish and British television series from 2009 Bea began her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. In 2012, she began appearing in sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms and similar programming. In 2012, after winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for various panel shows where she has become a fixture. In 2016 and 2017 she was a team leader on 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The parents of her include Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has an older sister named Sinead. In 2012, she became the first woman ever to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea is her maiden name to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born April 16, 1984 in Kildare Town, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet who took his own life at the age of three when Bea turned three was an suicide victim. The news of his suicide only after thirteen years of age. In 2017, Bea wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and took on the stage name Bea to pay tribute. Bea was fostered by her younger sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary instructor, trainer of jockeys, and former professional racer. Her family were obsessed with racing meetings and horses. Bea was a guide for the Irish National Stud in her young years. But she was aware that it wasn't what she wanted to do in a career and she preferred to perform.
